Frank-Bean Bake
This little casserole is an emergency shelf special and takes minimum preparation time. Serve it for lunch with a bowl of pears or a molded salad and thick slices of fresh bread. Or use it on a cookout or camping trip - just heat the combination over an open fire.
The budget casseroles would not be complete without recipes involving nitrate soaked meat by products. When this is served on a regular basis your family has reached the bottom of middle class America. Might as well give up on the illusion of keeping up with the Joneses. It's over. Just be grateful that there is still a roof over your head and food, in the loosest sense of the term, on your table.
