IT CAME FROM THE 1971 SEARS CATALOG
I may have run this site before, can't remember, but either
way
it is worth another viewing! Enter at your own risk and view
some of the horrid fashions that Sears advertised back in
the 70s era.

It is in drawer 74. I don't know when it got listed. My dear husband stumbled
upon the link.

Sears Catalog 1971
This was the crown jewel of my recent wanderings. I actually can not remember
when I laughed so hard at a single website. As the title describes, these are
actual scans of a Sears catalog from 1971. Although the pictures are priceless,
the commentary that goes with them is what will drop you. At the same time
however, those of you who actually were alive during the early 70s will
wonder how you ever survived this acid driven fashion nightmare. This is going
on my Top 10 Websites of All Time.

There's nothing quite like cranking up the Wayback machine
every now and then for the sake of nostalgia. Maybe too, to better
understand why as a society we stopped doing certain things. It came from the
1971 Sears Catalog! is a look back at a fashion catalog published by the
retailer Sears (http://www.sears.com/ ) at the height of the synthetic fabrics
craze. Commentary from Linda Causey adds to the entertainment.

The author of this site found this Fall 1971 Sears catalog
at an estate sale. "I was hoping to find some nice toy pictures in this
catalog ... I did find over 1600 pages of pure ugly. I present the highlights
from this catalog. Some of the pictures inspired stories, comments and
questions. Other pictures do not need any commentary at all."
It came from the Sears Catalog was featured in the December 2001 issue of Yahoo Internet Life, page 142. http://www.xmediapartners.com
